🕒 Total Time: 6–8 hours (prep: 10 mins, cook: 6–8 hrs)
🍲 Serves: 4
🧂 Ingredients:
-
4 bone-in or boneless pork chops (1 to 1½ inches thick)
-
1 tablespoon olive oil
-
Salt & pepper, to taste
-
1 teaspoon garlic powder
-
1 teaspoon onion powder
-
1 teaspoon paprika (optional)
-
1 small onion, sliced
-
2 cloves garlic, minced
-
1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup (or cream of chicken)
-
½ cup chicken broth
-
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
-
1 teaspoon dried thyme (or Italian seasoning)
🔪 Instructions:
-
Season & Sear (Optional but Recommended):
Pat pork chops dry. Rub with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and sear each chop for 2–3 minutes per side until golden brown. -
Layer in the Slow Cooker:
Place sliced onions and minced garlic on the bottom. Add pork chops on top. -
Make the Sauce:
In a bowl, mix the cream of mushroom soup, chicken broth, Worcestershire sauce, and thyme. Pour over the pork chops. -
Cook:
Cover and cook on LOW for 6–8 hours or HIGH for 3–4 hours, until pork chops are fork-tender. -
Optional – Thicken Gravy:
Remove pork chops and cover to keep warm. Mix 1 tablespoon cornstarch with 2 tablespoons cold water, then stir into the sauce. Cook on HIGH for 15–20 minutes to thicken. -
Serve:
Spoon gravy over pork chops and serve with mashed potatoes, rice, or egg noodles. Add a veggie side like green beans or roasted carrots.
📝 Tips:
-
Bone-in chops tend to stay juicier.
-
Add sliced mushrooms or a splash of white wine for extra depth.
-
Leftovers are excellent the next day — the flavor deepens!
