Tortilla Wraps with Ground Beef
Ingredients:
For the Beef Filling:
-
1 lb ground beef
-
1 small onion, finely chopped
-
2 cloves garlic, minced
-
1 tbsp olive oil (optional)
-
1 packet taco seasoning (or homemade — see below)
-
1/4 cup water
Wrap Ingredients (customizable):
-
4–6 large flour tortillas
-
Shredded lettuce
-
Diced tomatoes
-
Shredded cheese (cheddar, Monterey Jack, etc.)
-
Sour cream or Greek yogurt
-
Salsa or hot sauce
-
Guacamole or sliced avocado
Instructions:
-
Cook the Beef:
-
Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add onions and cook 2–3 minutes until soft.
-
Add ground beef and garlic. Cook until browned and fully cooked, breaking it up as it cooks.
-
Drain any excess fat. Add taco seasoning and 1/4 cup water. Simmer for 3–5 minutes until thickened.
-
-
Warm the Tortillas:
-
Heat tortillas in a dry skillet for 30 seconds per side, or microwave wrapped in a damp paper towel for 20 seconds.
-
-
Assemble the Wraps:
-
Lay out the tortilla. Add a scoop of beef, then top with your favorite fillings: lettuce, tomato, cheese, sour cream, etc.
-
Fold in the sides, roll tightly from the bottom, and tuck as you go to make a wrap.
-
-
Optional: Toast the Wraps
-
For extra crispiness, grill the wraps seam-side down in a skillet for 2–3 minutes per side until golden and sealed.
-
