🥔 Baked Potatoes with Garlic and Butter
⭐ Ingredients:
-
4 medium russet potatoes (or Yukon Gold for creamier texture)
-
4 tbsp unsalted butter (softened)
-
3 cloves garlic (minced or finely grated)
-
1–2 tbsp olive oil (optional, for crispier skin)
-
Salt and black pepper to taste
-
Fresh herbs (like parsley, thyme, or chives – optional)
-
Grated Parmesan (optional, for extra flavor)
🔪 Instructions:
1. Preheat Oven
-
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
2. Prep Potatoes
-
Scrub the potatoes clean and pat them dry.
-
You can peel them if you like, but leaving the skin on adds flavor and texture.
-
Pierce each potato a few times with a fork to allow steam to escape.
3. Garlic Butter Mixture
-
In a small bowl, mix:
-
4 tbsp softened butter
-
3 minced garlic cloves
-
Salt and pepper to taste
-
Optional: 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley or thyme
-
4. Bake Potatoes
-
Rub each potato lightly with olive oil (optional) and sprinkle with salt.
-
Place directly on the oven rack (or on a baking sheet if you prefer).
-
Bake for 45–60 minutes, depending on size, until tender when pierced with a knife.
5. Add Garlic Butter
-
Once baked, carefully cut a slit on top of each potato.
-
Fluff the insides with a fork and dollop a generous spoonful of garlic butter inside.
-
Let it melt and seep into the potato.
6. Optional Toppings
-
Sprinkle with Parmesan, chopped chives, or more herbs for extra flavor.
