Here’s a super simple and crispy Air Fryer French Fries recipe — golden, crunchy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and much healthier than deep-fried versions.
🍟 Air Fryer French Fries
Ingredients (Serves 2–4)
-
2 large russet potatoes
-
1–2 tbsp olive oil (or any neutral oil)
-
Salt, to taste
-
Optional seasonings: garlic powder, smoked paprika, black pepper, parsley
Instructions
-
Prep the potatoes:
-
Wash and peel (optional) the potatoes.
-
Cut into thin, even sticks—about ¼ inch thick.
-
Soak the cut fries in cold water for 30 minutes to remove excess starch (for max crispiness).
-
-
Dry thoroughly:
-
Drain and pat dry completely using a clean kitchen towel or paper towels.
-
-
Season:
-
Toss the fries in a bowl with oil and salt. Add any extra seasonings here if desired.
-
-
Air fry:
-
Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) if needed.
-
Place fries in the basket in a single layer (do not overcrowd; cook in batches if needed).
-
Cook for 15–20 minutes, shaking or tossing the basket halfway through.
-
For extra crispiness, increase temp to 400°F (200°C) in the last 3–5 minutes.
-
-
Serve:
-
Sprinkle with more salt or herbs and serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
