🍞 Chocolate Marble Bread
Yields: 1 loaf (8.5 x 4.5 inch loaf pan)

🧾 Ingredients:
For the Batter:

1¾ cups (220g) all-purpose flour

1 tsp baking powder

½ tsp baking soda

¼ tsp salt
-
½ cup (115g) unsalted butter, softened

¾ cup (150g) granulated sugar

2 large eggs
-
1 tsp vanilla extract
-
½ cup (120ml) whole milk or buttermilk

½ cup (120g) sour cream or plain yogurt
For the Chocolate Swirl:

⅓ cup (30g) unsweetened cocoa powder

3 tbsp (45ml) hot water

2 tbsp (30g) granulated sugar
🍽️ Instructions:

Preheat Oven & Prep Pan
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a loaf pan with parchment paper. -
Mix Dry Ingredients
In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside. -
Cream Butter & Sugar
In a large bowl, cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy (2–3 mins). Add eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla. -
Combine Wet Ingredients
Mix in the sour cream and milk until just combined. -
Add Dry to Wet
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients. Mix until just incorporated. Don’t overmix. -
Make Chocolate Batter
In a small bowl, mix cocoa powder, hot water, and 2 tbsp sugar into a smooth paste. Add 1 cup of the batter to this cocoa mixture and stir to combine. -
Assemble the Marble Bread
Alternate spoonfuls of vanilla and chocolate batter into the pan. Swirl gently with a knife for a marbled effect. -
Bake
Bake for 50–60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. -
Cool
Let it cool in the pan for 10–15 minutes, then remove and let cool completely on a wire rack.
