🍔 Homemade Chicken Burgers with Mushrooms
Ingredients:
For Chicken Patties:

500g ground chicken (or minced chicken breast/thigh)

1 small onion, finely grated

2 garlic cloves, minced

1/4 cup breadcrumbs (or panko)

1 egg

1 tsp salt

1/2 tsp black pepper

1 tsp paprika (optional)

1 tsp dried oregano or parsley

1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce or soy sauce
For Sautéed Mushrooms:

200g mushrooms (button, cremini, or portobello), sliced

1 tbsp butter + 1 tbsp olive oil

2 garlic cloves, minced
-
1 tbsp fresh thyme or 1 tsp dried thyme

Salt & pepper to taste

Optional: splash of cream or white wine
Burger Assembly:

Burger buns (toasted)
-
Cheese (Swiss, mozzarella, or cheddar work well)
-
Lettuce, tomato, pickles (optional)
-
Mayo, mustard, or aioli
Instructions:
1. Make the Chicken Patties:

In a bowl, mix ground chicken, onion, garlic, breadcrumbs, egg, seasoning, and Worcestershire sauce.

Form into 4 equal-sized patties.

Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat and cook patties for 5–6 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through (internal temp: 75°C/165°F).
2. Prepare the Mushrooms:

Heat butter and olive oil in a pan over medium heat.

Add garlic, sauté for 30 seconds.

Add sliced mushrooms and thyme, cook until browned (8–10 minutes).

Season with salt and pepper. Optional: add a splash of cream or wine and reduce for a rich finish.
3. Assemble the Burgers:

Toast the buns lightly.

Add lettuce or tomato at the base (optional).

Place the chicken patty, a slice of cheese (let it melt a bit), then pile on the sautéed mushrooms.

Top with your favorite sauce and bun lid.
