-
1 tsp yellow mustard
-
1 tsp pickle juice or vinegar
-
½ tsp garlic powder
-
½ tsp smoked paprika (optional)

🔹 Instructions
1. Prep the Beef
-
Divide the ground beef into 2 equal balls (around 150g / 5 oz each). Keep them loosely packed – don’t overwork the meat.
2. Heat the Pan
-
Heat a cast iron skillet or heavy pan over high heat. Add a bit of oil.
3. Smash Time
-
Place a beef ball into the hot pan, then immediately smash it flat with a spatula or burger press (use parchment paper to avoid sticking). It should be very thin and spread out.
-
Season with salt, pepper, garlic/onion powder.
-
Let it cook undisturbed for 2 minutes until the edges are crispy and brown.
-
Flip, add cheese, and cook another 1-2 minutes. Repeat with second patty.
4. Warm the Pita
-
Warm your pita in a dry pan or microwave until soft and pliable.
5. Assemble
-
Spread a spoonful of smash sauce on the inside of the pita.
-
Add lettuce, tomato, onions, pickles.
-
Place a cheesy smashburger patty inside.
-
Drizzle more sauce if you like.
-
Fold or wrap like a taco or gyro.

Jalapeños or hot sauce for heat
